The Generalate Group is made up of the Generalate itself and the communities that report directly to the Superior General.
In 1849, the house at 21 rue Méchain in Paris was purchased and quickly became the Mother House of the congregation.
The community in Rome was founded in 1854.

The mission of the Generalate Group is to be at the service of the whole Congregation. In this spirit, the Mother House welcomes sisters from all over the world who come to visit the 'sources' of the Congregation, to prepare for final vows and to follow formation in various fields.
The General Council and the Sacré Coeur community are located on the site of the Mother House.

The sisters in Rome welcome pilgrims to our "Guest House" in conjunction with the Chemin Neuf, and teach catechism. The postulator, who is responsible for officially promoting the cause of canonisation of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, is also based here.
