Founded in 1861 and made a province in 2007, the North Plains of India is distinguished by its diversity of culture, language and ethnic groups. Despite this diversity, the sisters live in profound communion, faithfully embodying the spirit of the Congregation: "cor unum et anima una - one heart and one soul. This unity in diversity is the hallmark of their witness and mission in the region.

"Nothing that is done for God is lost. (Blessed Anne-Marie Javouhey)
Blessed Anne-Marie is alive in the hearts and actions of the sisters today. Did she not have a vision of children reaching out to her? This inspiration continues to guide the sisters' ministries, which reach out to all sectors of society, with a particular focus on children.
The sisters are fully committed to a number of ministries, including :
Formal and non-formal education - to offer everyone, especially disadvantaged children, opportunities to learn and grow.
Pastoral care - to proclaim the Word of God and nurture the faith within communities.
Social action - to support the most vulnerable and promote human dignity.
Health ministries - to provide compassionate care, especially for women and children.
And so, through each of these ministries, Anne-Marie's love for the little ones and the poor continues to enlighten the world.
Missionary disciples ... to this call from God, we respond with total availability, ready to leave our country to go wherever the Lord sends us to serve our brothers and sisters.
