Founded in 1947, the Region of United States is made up of international women missionaries, animated by the love of Christ and called to set the world ablaze with love and hope. In the diversity and richness of this country, we seek the "Holy Will of God" as revealed in the signs of our times. Committed to transforming our world,we live and serve in intercultural communities, nourished by contemplative prayer and committed to love of neighbour through a variety of ministries. Our mission is to bear concrete witness to God's love and to contribute to the healing and renewal of the world.

By living together in profound cultural diversity - American, Irish, Canadian, Haitian, Portuguese, Ghanaian, South Indian, North Indian and Paraguayan - we bear witness to the beauty of internationality. Our lives and ministries are a living response to the calls of our time, in the heart of the United States, a country marked by its plurality.
In this shared mission, we affirm that every culture is a gift and that every person carries within them the light of God.
