Our mission

Pastoral care

"To share that message of hope with one another - in outreach, in service, in looking for ways to make our world a better place - gives true life to all of us and is a sign of hope for the whole world." (Pope Leo XIV, Chicago 14 June 2025)

Many sisters are involved in pastoral ministry, in both towns and rural areas; in established structures (parishes, schools, youth or adult movements, etc.) and also by reaching out to people wherever they are, sometimes in very isolated situations.

Here are some examples of our pastoral work:

  • Preparation for the reception of the sacraments in parishes and schools, for adults and young people of all ages, street children, families...
  • Serving as diocesan and parish secretariats
  • Liturgical leaders, parish leaders, chaplains of immigrant communities
  • Service to parishes, churches, seminaries, diocesan houses and nunciatures
  • Training programmes for catechists, Christian initiation of adults and Bible Study
  • Involvement in parish councils, numerous associations, Catholic radio and interfaith dialogue
  • Hospitality service for groups, families, priests, bishops, sisters from other congregations, pilgrims, young people who are searching
  • Visits to families, the elderly, the sick at home or in hospital, in the villages.
  • Missionary treks to lead small prayer groups in villages
  • Visiting prisoners, welcoming their families and their children, spiritual accompaniment
  • Retreat and spiritual renewal centres open to all and offering spiritual direction.
