Education
From the outset, education has played an essential role in the Congregation's mission of evangelisation.
The educational dynamic in the Congregation manifests itself in a variety of ways:
- Private-sector schools, with or without government contracts, or, in some countries, public education at all age levels (nursery, primary and secondary schools, higher education, technical education, agricultural education).
- Vocational training in secondary schools or in other forms
- School support and extra-curricular activities
- Psycho-educational services in schools
- Evening classes for young people or adults who work during the day
- Boarding schools for those in rural areas
- Literacy training, including for immigrants, and local language teaching
- Basic education in prisons
- Distance learning
