Our mission

Social action

The ministry of social action is often carried out in the context of education, pastoral care, health activities and more particularly with certain categories of people, especially the weak, the oppressed, whose basic needs are not being met. These are often women and children.

The children

The sisters help children at risk: orphans, street children, victims of war, children abused by their families. They set up shelters, distribute food and clothing, and give these children the opportunity to learn, train and prepare for their future.

The dignity of women

In order to promote the dignity of women, the sisters carry out a wide range of activities, generally aimed at enabling women to be self-sufficient and to take their place in the family and society. By forming groups of women who receive training and help each other, they learn how to manage money and progress in the realisation of projects within their reach.

Refugees, immigrants and displaced persons

To refugees and displaced persons, the sisters provide assistance that varies according to circumstances.

In several places, the sisters provide the support the immigrants need in terms of seeking work and better living conditions. Elsewhere, they focus on categories of people who are more or less rejected by society.

Justice and Peace

Some provinces have justice committees, and elsewhere sisters are involved in parish or diocesan Justice and Peace commissions.

Everywhere the sisters are concerned to help the people they meet to progress towards the fullness of LIFE, to give them the means to do so and to accompany them on this journey.
