Let's share love and hope with our world ...

Chamblanc and Cluny... places where the congregation began, are places of renewal for many groups of sisters and lay people from all over the world. These places help to spread Anne-Marie Javouhey's sanctity to a wide number of people.

But that's not the whole of our mission!

Today ...

In collaboration with lay people, the sisters are responsible for and accompany :

  • 10,000 young people in 16 schools in 11 dioceses
  • a children's home with 'social care' focus
  • health centres
  • and three guest houses: Chamblanc, Paris and Cluny

Many of the sisters are involved in pastoral ministry (helping prisoners' families, helping the very poor, catechesis, liturgy, visiting the sick, new evangelisation, etc.).

Particular attention is paid to our older sisters in the communities adapted to their needs and degree of independence.

In February 2024, our Province set 6 orientations for the coming years:

  1. Orientation for evangelisation

By virtue of our baptism, we are all called to evangelise. We are part of a missionary congregation, and in our province we want to make this a priority.

  1. Orientation on vocations ministry

God still calls us to follow Him today. We believe that apostolic religious life is a source of life and joy.

  1. Orientation focusing on situations of poverty

Situations of poverty in today's society have never been so close to us and affect us deeply. We must commit ourselves more firmly to the fight against poverty.

  1. Orientation on the "tutelle" responsible for the supervision of schools and educational establishments

We believe that the educational mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny still has meaning in our world today. Education is an essential part of our charism.

  1. Orientation on interculturality

Interculturality is a great asset for our congregation and our province. We must cultivate it by giving ourselves the means to do so.

  1. Orientation on the future of large communities

We must now begin to start thinking about the future of these communities. We want to establish projects that will make sense and respect our charism.

Missionary disciples ... to this call from God, we respond with total availability, ready to leave our country to go wherever the Lord sends us to serve our brothers and sisters.
