Welcome to our region...

As Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny, inspired by Blessed Anne-Marie Javouhey, we seek God in our daily challenges and bear witness to His love by promoting the dignity and freedom of all.

Our mission in Australia began in 1904 in Port Fairy, but closed in 1913. The current foundation dates from 1950, and was followed by a presence at Corpus Christi Seminary in Werribee, Victoria, a home for the elderly in Kew and a novitiate. Since then, we have served in parishes, health care and education.

In Papua New Guinea, we have a community in Port Moresby and two others in remote mountain areas. Our mission of evangelisation is carried out through ministries of education, social work, pastoral care and health services.

Let's share love and hope with our world ...

In Australia, despite the lack of vocations, the sisters continue their mission among the most vulnerable, bearing witness to Christ's love through their discreet but essential service.

In Papua New Guinea, evangelisation takes place through education, health, pastoral care and social commitment. Every action is a sign of hope.

In a world often marked by indifference, we are all called to share love and hope, wherever we are, with faith and generosity.

Today ...

  • support for our sisters in retirement homes
