The Indian Assembly of Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny<\/strong>, including the six provinces of India, took place from September 1 to 10, 2025<\/strong> at the Cluny Provincial House, Ariyamangalam, Trichy<\/strong>. The meeting was attended by 64 delegates<\/strong> from all over India, representing the six provinces within the Congregation. The meeting was presided over by the Superior General, accompanied by three General Councillors.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The meeting began with a warm welcome from Sister Agnes Anthonimuthu,<\/strong> Provincial Superior of Trichy, who welcomed the Superior General, the General Councillors and all the participants.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In her opening address, Sister Clare Stanley<\/strong>, Superior General, invited each sister to<\/em> pause to listen deeply<\/em> - to God's word, to one another, and to the signs of the times - in order to discern together the concrete steps that will shape the future.<\/em><\/strong>She encouraged the sisters to explore how God is calling them forward as Cluny Sisters in India and as members of the wider Cluny family. The inaugural Mass was celebrated by Mgr S. Arokiaraj, Bishop of Trichy<\/strong>.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To explore these issues in greater depth, two guest priests spoke on the following topics: \"May The challenges of the current Indian context<\/em> \"<\/strong> (Father Xavier Arulraj<\/strong>) and \"May Awareness, preparedness and response in the Indian context<\/em> \"<\/strong> (Father Cedric Prakash SJ<\/strong>).<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The meeting ended with a day of synthesis and reflection<\/strong>. The participants revisited the themes of the mission<\/em>, formation<\/em> and collaboration<\/em>. They shared how these themes had touched, inspired and challenged them over the course of the days.<\/h5>
In her closing speech<\/strong>, Sister Clare Stanley repeated to the participants the words of Saint Augustine, which are still relevant today: \"May Love changes everything<\/em>.\"<\/strong><\/h5>
She urged the sisters to make love the foundation of all their actions adding: \"May our lives proclaim God's love wherever we are sent. Let us walk together with courage, hope and joy, moving forward in missionary availability.<\/em> \"<\/strong><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
